Just finished watching Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Plot was kinda... vague, and I have to say was really more for the FF diehards since all those flashbacks to meaningful dialogue just had me and my bro shrugging. Cloud powered the movie with his angst and his bare minimum of character development. I nearly fell over in shock when his lips moved into an almost smile at the end there (even if I really wanted the children to yell out "dogpile on Cloud" or something).
The movie was very pretty at least, and had many cool fight moments. In fact most of the fights were pretty cool so long as you remember that gravity doesn't exist. Coolest moment was definately when Cloud and Sephiroth were standing on the side of the building and had to cut through the debris falling on them with their swords. Cannot figure out why Sephiroth was hitting on Cloud so much though...
Also, the scene with all the children and Sephiroth's wannabes so reminded me of a Korn video. The end.
Edited to add: I really enjoyed the end credits. They were purty and cool. *L*
