Today I learnt that I am more like my father than I think, and this pleased me as much as it dismayed me all those times I've realized I'm like my mother.
I watched up to Rome ep. 10 today. I cannot express how much I enjoy this show. I quite enjoy watching things with other people, but this is a series I can perfectly enjoy on my own, and that's probably a good thing since I tend to go off into happy glee at tiny historical details (this episode - Vercingetorix's nekkid arse! yes!). I'm afraid fandom and historical texts ruined me forever to being shocked by anything in the show. Incidently, I was wondering who Vorenus remined me of in this episode, and I realized it was Ichigo from Bleach - must be the red hair and permanent scowl.
My father and I went to Outback tonight since my poor brother is being sent to take the SATs again tomorrow *checks time*, okay, today. They overcooked my steak and when I sent it back they showered us with attention until I got a new steak and pressed a free desert on us. It was a delicious caramel pecan apple thingy. Of course, there's a reason we never have had to try desert at Outback and even sharing the thing we were completely stuffed, and in fact, hours later, we still are. Meanwhile, I am playing santa for the whole family in that I'm going to everyone and suggesting gifts for everyone else. I wonder if anyone in my family would ever get what they want if I didn't bother.
We watched House ep. 8 (again for me), and I have to say the twist at the end just strikes me as unrealistic. Not that House is ever all that realistic and I understand they're doing it for ratings but it's still weird.
