1. A song by a Beatle/The Beatles: The Beatles - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
There are other Beatles songs I enjoy more, but this is the only one that can always get me to stop and drift off into my own imagination, if only for a moment.
2. A song featuring piano as the main instrument: Naruto Ending 1 - Wind
This song has the distinction of having some of the worst Japanese English you'll ever hear, not to mention the singer is horribly out of tune. That being said, I adore listening to it because it somehow crosses the line of being bad to being good.
3. A song with a woman's name in the title: Pink Martini - Donde Estas, Yolanda
This song is my concession to my fond memories of waking up at 5:30am every morning to drive in a car with only a tape deck and three available tapes for a half hour to a dig site. It got to the point where any one of us could have sung the 30 odd songs on the tapes in our sleep. I suspect I remember this one more fondly than others since at least it was in Spanish.
4. A song with a man's name in the title: The Killers - Andy, You're a Star
This song sounds really distinctive, so much so that when I was weeding out my songs, I couldn't bring myself to delete it even though I have several other Killers songs permanently installed on my computer.
5. A song about money: Barenaked Ladies - If I Had a Million Dollars
I've had the live version of this on my computer for about six years now and I've never regretted it.
6. A song with weather in the title: Bonnie Pink - It's Gonna Rain (Rurouni Kenshin)
A rather upbeat song, but that's Kenshin music for you.
7. A song with parenthesis in the title: Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down)
I actually prefer the French version of this song, but I still have yet to delete this version from my computer. Go figure.
8. A song by a punk band: The Clash - London Calling
I love listening to this song and as a plus, it has great lyrics.
9. A song with the word "song" in the title: Jethro Tull - Songs from the Woods
I adore this song. There's something really mythical about it.
10. A song you love so much you stop and listen whenever you hear it: Masterplan - Sail On
I fell in love with this song through an AMV so the images of One Piece set to this music will forever be with me. Consequently, the song has a lot more impact for me than it ever would have if I had heard it on my own.
If anybody wants any of these, they're on my comp and I'd be happy to upload them. Just drop me a comment:)
