I should mention that Silver and Gold, Chapter 8 is up. So far, the reviewers are singularily in that they all told me to update soon and seem to have missed that crucial sentence at the end of the chapter saying it's not going to happen. I get the impression the Naruto fandom is pretty impatient. I've waited years for fanfic authors to update. Five months is nothing. *eyes Uric, slinks off*
Watched the last two eps of House. First off, episode 23 with D. B. Sweeney left me with a huge need to rewatch Strange Luck. If you never saw Strange Luck, it began with this monologue, "People say I’m... lucky. It all began in a plane crash thirty years ago. One hundred and six lives ending in a single heartbeat. No one survived... except me." and was about a guy who really was extremely lucky in that his whole life was just one big coincidence. For some reason the scene that always sticks in my head is when they get a pregnant woman into the diner where he usually eats and the waitress asks Chance (Chance Harper being the main guy's name) how many babies he's delievered, and he rather wryly tells her that he's delievered eight so far. It was a really cool show that made you pay attention to the little visual clues that were scattered about. And of course, Fox cancelled it after 17 episodes and right in the middle of a bizarre conspiracy theory plot (that involved Mulder from the X-files of all things) and it's never been released on dvd so it's impossible for me to rewatch.
Okay, I'm done now. Back to House.
While I know it's sensationalism, I thought it was brilliant to have someone just walk in and shoot House (hell, I'm surprised there wasn't a line *rimshots*). The introduction of something being wrong during the rest of the episode was great. My first thought at least was how did he wake out of a coma with all that information about the patient, and then it just got worse as the ducklings kept being completely on the ball, which just. doesn't. happen. in real life *L* The plot meandered a little, but that moment where he decides to kill the patient was harsh. They held it just long enough for you to wonder if he really did kill the guy, and then the bullet dropped. Nice television there. Of course, the ending was evil. Poor House left in trauma limbo for a whole non-season. TV is cruel *L*
I'd also like to know where Foreman's dain bramage went... That is all. *waits patiently for next season*
Have had a busy weekend. After my eight classes on Saturday, me and M. and K. headed off to a Nova party in Ube where we socialized until late. It was a pretty good party considering it consisted of only conversation with really random people, many of whom were very drunk (was the dd, and also on antibiotics so nix on that). I slept in until 11am the next day because I was so tired.
Last night was movie night at G.'s apartment. We had tacos and brownies and ice cream and watched Seven Samurai. A lovely night.
