Title refers to funny manga chapter title I saw in a bookshop. Spent some of my free time yesterday in the air conditioned bookstore and read the manga Chonchu (at least I think it was called that...) which had pretty art and was very gory.
The heat wave across Europe continues. I actually dreamt of air conditioning last night.
Digging has been more fun this week despite the heat. I found part of a lovely bronze pin this morning and a lot of other slag and some nice bits of pottery. Afternoons are spent washing our finds in the shade which is a nice change from digging in the hot afternoon sun. Basically, digging between the hours of 7am and 9:30 and 6pm to 7:30 is fine; but the hours between 9:30-12 and 5-6 are horrible. I was having fun watching the sweat pool on my skin today before running down my back. Would feel better digging if evil little bees hadn't moved into the wall of my fait as well, but the french assistant dig manager seems to find me amusing and I can understand her surprisingly well, though I always check that I've understood anyway.
Have many cuts all over and even more bug bites from a large variety of biting things. Skin is dark enough that I can be mistaken for a mexican again. Still loving the french food, though getting a bit sick of cheese (not that I don't love cheese, but brie and goat cheese just aren't my thing).
Off to take a nap now I think. Decent sleep is a bit lacking. Ja ne.
